Meet Your Muses:

Melody, Harmony, & Rhythm

We’re offering our third workshop in musical skill development on Saturday, March 16, 2024. If you’d like to take your singing, directing, or accompanying skills to the next level, join us for our one-day workshop.

This time our keynote speaker is British choral director Ula Weber. She’ll kick off the day with a snappy session of fun and effective warmups.

Gifted vocal coach Greg West will offer a special session on using Voce Vista software for tonal analysis, as well as individual opportunities for one-on-one student/coach instruction.

Throughout the day, we’ll organize attendees into four groups to prepare songs for a 4:00 mini-concert. Everyone will also join together for a couple of rousing songs that’ll exercise newfound skills, sync a lot of voices in triumphant harmony, and blow the chilly blahs away.

concert at The Lyric on 12/16/23 a great success. We raised almost $5000 for Mountain View Spay/Neuter Clinic and Blue Ridge Vocal Connection.

And the local businesses that donated food, drinks, and other supplies that made the reception such a comfortable and tasty treat went way over the top. So please patronize them in the near future and thank them for their community-minded generosity when you visit. They are:

Now’s the time for your debut!

Any time is the perfect time to join us, as we’ll start rehearsing for our 2024 Broadway program: “Broadway Lights & Blue Ridge Sights” in January. It’ll feature great music such as “I Know Where I’ve Been”, “Bring Him Home”, “Who Will Buy”, “You Can’t Stop the Beat”, “Seasons of Love”, and many more! Check out our Broadway set list here.

Joining is easy: just show up, preferably a few minutes early to get situated with music. Because our mission is to spread the art and love of singing as widely as possible, we do not require an audition.
