       Vocal Connection

We welcome community partners who want to host concerts. While securing an appropriate time and space to perform is important, the most critical characteristic we require in a concert host is one that’s committed to connecting us to their surrounding community as widely as possible.

You see, the fact that “connection” is in our name isn’t accidental. Music isn’t just a pastime for us; it’s the vehicle we use to build bridges to each other. And we’re always looking for willing partners who want to join us in that effort. What does that mean?

Of course paid advertising is great and helpful, but the most effective outreach is and always will be word of mouth. So we value concert hosts who personally invite their friends, family, and stakeholders. We expect concert hosts to announce our concerts at prior in-person meetings, in constituent emails, on their website and Facebook pages, and in written materials such as newsletters and bulletins, etc. Putting up flyers on community and bulletin boards is also a great way to increase outreach at minimal cost.

We don’t charge hosts to perform a concert, but we will accept gifts. We also frequently put out a donation container in case audience members want to contribute monetarily.

If you’re interested in joining with us as a concert host, then you should review this joint BRVC Host Partner Pledge in advance. It outlines more fully what concert hosts can expect us to deliver and what we expect them to do to prepare for a concert.

Lastly, if you’d like explore serving as a host partner, send us an email here. Include your name, location, and preferred date or occasion and we’ll respond as promptly as possible.
